Our trip to Mayo ended early. After further review they agree with Madison that Ray is not a candidate for a liver transplant. Because of his heart his chances of surviving the surgery is slim and if he did because of his debilitated condition his recovery would longer and harder.  Some may say this was a wasted trip but it was not. The dr has other thoughts and ideas to improve quality of life and will write a letter to Rays drs in Marshfield and Madison. She also said if we need anything to contact her. She can see Ray’s sheer determination and strength.  To have survived what he went through in Madison is nothing less then a miracle.  There is only one reason, God has a plan.

Does Ray have heart disease, yes. Is there something that needs to be addressed, no. For his day to day needs he is fine but to under go what is considered to be one of the biggest and hardest surgeries the heart would be under too much stress. Is Ray still weak, yes. But the progress he is making is amazing since he was told he may never walk again. Are there days we wished things were further along, of course. But when we look back and realize how far he has come all I can say is God is good!

Ray and I have prayed leading up to this appointment that God will guide us on the right path. There is no right or wrong here, just going forward one day at a time. We are so blessed to have the support of our family and friends. Thank you.
