Hello again. Just want to let everyone know, First; I apologize for not updating on Randy sooner but it's been a lot to digest and a lot has been going on! Randy did have Brain surgery on Friday March 2, 2018 and it was a long day with registration at 6:15 am and MRI at 7:am, Pre-Intra and Pre-Op and they took him at 11:15 am and actual surgery started at 12:30 pm. Recovery started at 2:30 pm and we were moved to Critical Care ICU in the Sanford Heart Hospital at 4:40pm.
March 5, 2018: It was a long strenuous night and day today. He is having a lot of back pain and back spasms and it's been real hard to find comfortable positions for him. This has been going on about every 40 minutes. Even tho there has been that, we have been moved to the Acute Neuro Unit on 3rd floor of the Sanford hospital. Hee Haw ...we are out of ICU.
We also got reinformed and updated on info of test results, biopsies and what they know so far. So, yes it is Lung Cancer that went into a lymphnoid and spread to the brain to cause a brain tumor. The Brain surgery to remove it went well and they got it. Now we wait for the pathology (lab) results on that. Biopsies of the lung came back: with some heavy heart and thoughts and regret we want to let everyone know: the type is Non small cell sarcoma. In that type the kind is Adrenocarcinoma. It is in Stage 4. It's been a devasting shock and unbelievable news.
