Journal entry by Becky Regan

Yesterday was a milestone for Randy; one month has passed since his surgery 👍!!  Our daughter Anne drove up for the weekend from LA with her dog Odessa. We had a quiet Saturday, then we went out for breakfast yesterday morning. Randy’s having trouble bending his left leg. We think it’s because he was crooked all his life and is now aligned, and it hurt a lot before his surgery. And, all those nerves and muscles are reconnecting.

So so getting in & out of the car or in & out of a booth at a restaurant is a big undertaking at this point. We load up the car with his gear: his walker & cane and scoot the front seat back as far as possible. Then slowly take it from there.

We we also went to Home Depot after breakfast so it was our biggest outing since surgery. He can get in & out of bed and up & down in a chair by himself now.

His birthday’s this Thursday. Text him, call him or drop him a b’day card in the mail. He’d Get a kick out of being remembered by you!!
