Randy’s Story

Site created on January 15, 2022

On January 11th, my dad (Randy Hollister) was admitted to the Rochester, MN Mayo Clinic ICU due to complications from COVID-19. They never ate out; they didn't go anywhere unmasked; they were SO CAREFUL.  But tonight, January 15th, the Mayo Clinic ICU doctors are planing to intubate him and place him on a ventilator for (realistically) 3 weeks. Once he is better and comes off of that, he will likely have a 3-6+ week recovery period of physical therapy, possibly a trach, etc.

My dad is a heck of a fighter that's cut from tough cloth, which has helped him beat numerous odds in the past...he's an overcomer! But this process will create a heavy financial burden of medical bills for my parents. My dad JUST retired, and they were planning the next big adventure and chapter of their lives when this all struck. If you can find it in your heart to donate anything, I know it'd be a great help when he's out of the hospital.

My father, Randy Ray Hollister, has passed on to be with his heavenly father above.  He is no longer in pain and is with his family in heaven; Ray, Ferne, Linda, and so many more.  He's even loving on our old dog Sadie!

The hole in my heart is unimaginablely vast. 😭💔
