It is Monday night. Surgery was Wednesday. I was released on Friday--what a birthday gift!!! We went straight to the school and Jaxson ran to me!!! This surgery has been harder on him than the others. He ended up coming home early this time and the school called just as we were getting into town saying he had been more emotional. I came home and slept the rest of the day.....and Saturday too!! I tried being a little more active on Sunday but slept most of the afternoon. We are still anxiously awaiting for pathology results. The surgery notes did confirm the removal of a second mass so we are not sure what that is yet either. My TSH levels are still extremely high and the white blood cell count is high. The incision looks really good--22 stitches-- and I still have a drain tube--gross!!!

This surgery seemed to be harder on my kids than the previous ones. My heart hurts for the stress this is on them. I am open to suggestions to making it easier!!

We had a fundraiser the Monday before my surgery. My sweet friend Sandra and her sister organized a taco sale and it was hugely successful! We have had such great community support during this--I am still surprised at the amount of people that have come out to support us in so many ways. I can never say thank you enough and I am sure I will miss some along the way but please know how grateful we are for all the help with kids, help with housecleaning, words of encouragement, financial support, and the overwhelming amount of prayers. We are truly blessed!!!!!
