Newest Update

Journal entry by Lois King

It has been 3 years since our last update. Rachel is doing well. She has faint scars still from her old feeding tube site & trach site, but no other issues. She had a corneal nerve transplant to improve the health of her right eye back in 2021 and it has gone very well. Her eye will never be what it once was,  but has definitely improved. The vision in her left eye has improved such that she was ok'ed to have a provisional driver's license and can drive in good weather during the day. She is working on that slowly has it has been almost 4 years since she has driven. She still goes in for regular evals with her numerous docs, but her return visits are being pushed out to 6 months to a year. We are very encouraged. Thank you!
