Happy FriYay and Field Day for my elementary FCS friends!

Thank you for your continued prayers! Overall I've been feeling pretty well. I've been taking one day at a time and seeking God every day. I know He is with me helping me walk this journey, placing the right people in my path when I need it most.

Yesterday, I went to a gastroenterologist to figure out what's going on. I had an external hemorrhoid that disappeared in the last couple of days but now I have two internal ones. My oncologist had given me suppositories to use but I felt like it made it worse. Well, he knew what he was talking about because that's exactly what will help things get better. I see being able to sit comfortably in my foreseeable future! Praise God!

One of my sweet friends got me a cooling blanket to help with the nighttime hot flashes. I used it for the first time last night and it helped! I see restful sleep in my foreseeable future. Praise God! I found out that the chemo is making me post-menopausal, which explains the why behind the hot flashes. It should resolve itself within a couple of months after chemo stops.

I'm at my chemo office waiting for treatment to start. My bloodwork looks good. My oncologist is having me see him every other treatment so I just have treatment today. Only two more treatments after today!

My amazing husband has been my rock throughout this journey (aside from Jesus--of course he's my number 1 rock). He's always willing to step in when I need to rest. I praise God for him every day. I know this Mother's Day will look a little different but I'm thankful to spend it with him and my two boys.

As I mentioned in my last post, nausea was difficult last time. Please join me in praying this time won't be as bad. If that's my only struggle, I'll take it. I know it's temporary and it will pass.

Thank you all for your prayers! He hears them, answers them and is always faithful.

The Lord is righteous in everything he does; he is filled with kindness. The Lord is close to all who call on him, yes, to all who call on him in truth. He grants the desires of those who fear him; he hears their cries for help and rescues them. The Lord protects all those who love him, but he destroys the wicked. I will praise the Lord, and may everyone on earth bless his holy name forever and ever. ~Psalm 145: 17-21
