Journal entry by Linda Hopkins

Want to let everyone know that we have set the Texas memorial for Rachael on Saturday, June 12, 2021 at 10:30 am.  We are bringing her ashes and will have a short service at the graveside.  Everyone who wants to come is invited to attend at Oaklawn Cemetery on Hwy 7 between Center and Joaquin.  Rachael’s wishes were everyone wear bright colors and share beautiful memories and smiles.  We have cried more this year than we have ever cried. Let’s gather and remember the bright light she shed while she was with us.

I want to encourage anyone who would like to share a memory or a story about Rachael to do so.  Gregory ‘Al’ Rowe will lead the service and those who wish to speak will be given a chance.  Many will choose not to speak and we hope to speak to everyone who comes.  Her Georgia family has planned to make the trip, so Lord willing and the creeks don’t rise, we will see those of you who can make it.
