Pricilla (Tudy) Lila Sievert, of Mankato, went to be with her Lord and Savior in heaven on February 25, 2024, with her loving family at her side. She died due to complications of her cancer, glioblastoma.

Tudy was born in a log cabin on November 16, 1940, to Fred and Elsie Pawelk, of Montrose, MN, the youngest of nine children, one sister and seven brothers. She had fond memories of her time on the farm. She enjoyed nature, gardening (flowers) and animals, especially horses. Tudy inherited a special love of polka music and her special talent of yodeling. She was an avid horseback rider and loved sharing her passion with friends and family. Tudy also had a deep love of Christ and was passionate about sharing her faith. She participated in multiple bible studies in her community as well as regularly attending church, and was an active member of Hosanna Lutheran Church. She had a contagious personality and everyone who met her loved her.

Tudy attended Concordia College in St Paul, MN. After graduating, she accepted her first teaching position in Kilmanagh, MI. The principal, Wayne Sievert, first met her at the train station, which led to a marriage of 54 years and four children. After Kilmanagh, MI, Tudy and Wayne moved to Flint, MI, where Wayne served as Principal and Organist at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church. Tudy continued raising the children and being active in the church and community. They eventually made their way to Eau Claire, WI, where Tudy worked at Randal Foods until her retirement in 1996. After her retirement, she spent her time actively participating in her bible studies, quilting, horseback riding, and gardening. After Wayne's death, Tudy moved to Mankato, MN, to be closer to her children and grandchildren. While in Mankato, she enjoyed traveling, spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, working in her garden and tending to her flowers. She became very well liked in the community and church and made lots of friends while actively participating in her bible studies and Tuesday night Journeys at Hosanna.

Tudy is survived by her children, Kimberly (Dean) DiSanto of Inver Grove Heights, MN, Stephen Sievert of Dillion, MT, Tamra Sievert of Mankato, MN, Autumn (Dan) Robinson of Mankato, MN; six grandchildren, Travis (Sara) Stewart, Anthony (Bria) DiSanto, Lyndsey (Kerneth) Hall, Alisandra (Dan) Norman, Isabella DiSanto (special friend, Alec), and one step grandchild, Kelly (Kayli) Robinson; 11 great grandchildren, Jamis Stewart, Tabitha Stewart, Zechariah Stewart, Josie Stewart, Jasper Stewart, Nessa Stewart, Ruby Hall, Willow Hall, Cora Norman, Ella and Veda Robinson; sisters-in-law, Joan Pawelk and Barb Pawelk; Tudy’s loving companion who never left her side, her toy poodle, Fawn; as well as many other relatives and friends.

Tudy was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Wayne Sievert; granddaughter, Erin Sievert; sister, Friedolla; brothers, Willard (Bernice), Glennard (Adeline), DeLloyd (Elaine), Orville (Bonnie), Eldon, Eldor and Kenneth (Germaine) Pawelk.

A Memorial Service will be held on March 9, 2024, at 11am at Hosanna Lutheran Church, 105 Hosanna Drive, Mankato, MN, 56001. Visitation begins at 10am.

A special thank you to Bible Study group, staff and doctors of the Mayo Clinic from Rochester and Mankato, and the ER staff in Mankato.
