Preston’s Story

Please note: donating via the tributes tab goes to CaringBridge NOT Preston and Mandy. Backstory: In November of last year, Preston had some hairs removed in my mouth and during the preop discovered he was anemic. The hairs in the mouth were annoying but found to be benign. Due to the anemia he was referred to a Hematologist (Blood Doctor) who began prescribing procedures to further investigate the anemia. During a colonoscopy they found a mass in my colon that was found to be an aggressive colon cancer. We probably thought the cancer was just confined to the colon. But during surgery, they found a baseball sized tumor which appeared to effect the gallbladder as well. Half of the colon, gallbladder and over 70 lymphnodes (over 50 were cancerous) were removed. We later found out that it is Stage 3C colon cancer and will be undergoing chemotherapy. Again Mandy and I thank you all for the prayers, love and support!
