Hi friends! I know it’s been months since I’ve last added an update. Let’s just say, we needed to just focus on Juniper, her travels, new therapies, and our new way of life. Here is a quick recap for you all:
Juniper and the family worked hard to adjust to life in Texas with the new therapies. Unfortunately, Juniper started to regress emotionally into the second week 😕 Trevor and Catie made the hard decision to end the therapy program a week early and head home.
Since their return, they have been hard at work to ease Juniper back into her normal therapies and working on her new life with her walker. Juniper also started therapy at the elementary school! She enjoys “going to school” 😊
I feel like we are seeing Juniper grow cognitively with us but when watching her play with multiple typical developing friends.. she can’t keep up physically or cognitively and gets left out 😕 Catie and Trevor make it a point to get her out and in social settings as much as they can. We all know this is a long process. Above all, we just want Juniper to know she is loved 🥰
On another note, for those that are local, Juniper and our family will be walking in the Shriners Children’s Walk for LOVE on June 8th. Everyone is invited to join us! I’ll include the link below.
