Welcome to our CaringBridge website. We are using it to keep family and friends updated in one place. We appreciate your support and words of hope and encouragement. Thank you for visiting. Ashley had a serious car accident in Iwakini Japan - she collided with a bus. She suffers severe bodily trauma and a traumatic brain injury. Thank you for all your prayers and friendships and being there for us when the chips are down.


For 12 days Ashley held on. She gave us time to get to Japan and even improved. She responded to us and knew we were there with her.....but her injuries were just too much and off she flew. She left us with that crooked smile that she sometimes had- like she knew something we didn't know or perhaps saw something amazing. Ashley was a special soul. Everyday her spirit grows stronger.

Today I’m not writing about how we are doing. Today I’m sharing a blessing-one given to us by every one of you who donated to “Bring Ashley Home”, gave money for her memorial garden or physically participated in its creation. The snow gives the space the most serene sense of peace and hope. I wanted to share this winter view of “Ashley’s Garden”. Much gratitude, peace, love and light to you all.
