Todd’s Story

Todd is in the ICU at Kootenai Hospital in CDA with Covid pneumonia. 

He’d been sick and tested negative on Saturday June 19th when I took him to the ER for a fever, cough and headache. He was diagnosed with bronchitis. 
I took him back into the ER Thursday June 24 when he was having trouble breathing and he tested positive. They put him on a Bipap..his O2 was 50 and immediately went up to 90+. 
They transferred him to Kootenai  because they wanted him to be with a lung specialist since his CT showed his lungs full of pneumonia.
He’s been on the Bipap most of the time. He’s really sick and struggling quite a bit.  
I’ve also tested positive and am home with flu/cold like symptoms…

Please pray for his lungs to become stronger so that they can support his breathing on their own..and that he has the patience to let them and that his medical staff makes the best decisions in his case. 
The ICU calls every morning and most evenings to give updates..so I’ll keep you updated.

July 29..

This will probably be my last post here. 
Todd continues to slowly improve. His oxygen needs are still really high. But he gets around the apartment with a walker really well. 
Home Health, PT and OT continue to come to the apartment once a week. 
Todd has an echocardiogram scheduled September 2nd…we pray that the results come back as normal. 
I continue to pray for a full recovery for Todd…and am so grateful for the blessing of him being home.
