Journal entry by Jamie Christensen —
Hello friends & family,
I am so happy to report that Chase's doctor just talked with my mom and said that as of the latest results from his lung x-ray this morning, Chase will not be needing lung surgery! We are so very thankful for this wonderful news!!
Over the past week, Chase has been slowly making improvements. He has been able to get up and walk himself to and from the restroom with assistance. He is able to drink fluids through a straw, and slowly but surely the rib pain seems to be getting better each day. They had to suspend the tube feeding because of extreme nausea, which they said is not uncommon due to the circumstances... they will try to resume it again later today.
Specific prayer requests at this time would be...
Relief from nausea, continued pain management, and for God to comfort chase emotionally as he is dealing with the loss of his grandfather along with everything else.. and last but not least please pray for God to use this pain and suffering to further His kingdom... Our family would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your outpour of love and prayers for Chase as he walks through this journey.
With love & appreciation,
Jamie Christensen
