Annie is home! She is thrilled to be out of the hospital and home with her beloved cat, Lolly.
We are forging new territory and finding a new “normal.” Yesterday she was in lots of pain, but my mom pivoted and made changes to her bed to help minimize discomfort. Her home health nurse, Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy start this week so Annie can continue to build strength and skills to be independent.
Yesterday Annie read through all her notes and cards again, which were sent by many of you, and she was struck once more by the incredible generosity and kindness of friends and family.
While she is happy to be at home, it’s a huge and scary change and she misses the staff at Harborview that she was so connected to. We are unbelievably grateful for the care she received during her time there.
Thanks for all your messages and support for Annie and this next phase begins. ❤️
