Journal entry by Tommy Thorne —
Peggy has been doing very well, and has remained in good spirits over the last few days, with only a few bumps along the way. At around 4PM, she was moved from the Trauma ICU, to the Neuro Stepdown Unit one floor above her original floor. This was a very positive move, because the original plan was for her to relocate to a similar level of care ICU on the same floor, but instead, she skipped that entirely. Everyone is very excited about this change, as this will hopefully be her last stop in the hospital before ultimately being transferred to a rehabilitation center from here.
In other noteworthy news, there seems to have been some very significant progress in her neurological signs! Time will have to tell what that will mean for her overall progress in recovery, but our family is extremely encouraged by this, and we will remain by her side through it all!
