Margaret’s Story

Site created on December 11, 2018

Welcome to Prayers For Peggy! We’ve started this page to make it a little easier for some friends and family to check in regularly and see how things are going with her. As you all probably know, when something like this happens, just about everyone wants to reach out and ask a lot of questions. This is going to be the place to hopefully have those questions answered, as we will periodically update you with her progress. We would only ask that you kindly not share this page with anyone other than your immidiate family, as this has been very hard for everyone, and there will be some private information shared here . Thank you to everyone that has been supporting her and us as well, and we love each and every one one of you. Keep Peggy in your hearts and minds and especially your prayers!

Newest Update

Journal entry by Tommy Thorne

Peggy has been doing very well, and has remained in good spirits over the last few days, with only a few bumps along the way. At around 4PM, she was moved from the Trauma ICU, to the Neuro Stepdown Unit one floor above her original floor. This was a very positive move, because the original plan was for her to relocate to a similar level of care ICU on the same floor, but instead, she skipped that entirely. Everyone is very excited about this change, as this will hopefully be her last stop in the hospital before ultimately being transferred to a rehabilitation center from here.
In other noteworthy news, there seems to have been some very significant progress in her neurological signs! Time will have to tell what that will mean for her overall progress in recovery, but our family is extremely encouraged by this, and we will remain by her side through it all!
