Journal entry by Sarah Smith —
I want to start this by saying that this was something that I never anticipated.
After having my daughter (many years ago) I always wanted to have another baby and I knew I wanted a son.
The years passed and I assumed that was just a desire that I wouldn't see manifest in my life.
When we found out that we were having a boy I KNEW that I KNEW that even in this God was giving me that desired son.
Very early Friday morning our son went to be with God. This confidence I have, to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord!
Judah was the strongest baby and what he showed us in the 15 days of his life is that you NEVER give up!!
In his little 1 lb body he had the fight, strength, and tenacity that some of us as adults and "seasoned" christians don't have.
He made a NAME for himself in that NICU unit and surpassed expectations and diagnosis. He overcame obstacle after obstacle. ALL to show us that God through this tiny baby can be shown Mighty.
So I encourage you through the life of my son, Don't quit
Don't give up
Don't throw in the towel so easily
Life is hard sometimes and challenges come. Sometimes you hurt and you feel broken. This truth remains. Our God IS GOOD. Our God is a very present help in a time of trouble. Our God sees and hears everything that you go through and EVERY tear that you cry, EVERY prayer that you pray.
Judah Aziel Johnson you had the strength and heart of a LION and God truly gave us your name
Judah- Praise
Aziel- God is my strength
We praise God for your life son, and we will be seeing you again!!!!
Thank you so much for your prayers and continued love over us during this time!!!!!
