Presleigh’s Story

Site created on May 4, 2023

P was born absolutely perfect 1.30.23 10 fingers, 10 toes, her mama's nose and her beautiful red hair. P had this sparkle in her eye that was never shaded by her beautiful long eye lashes ...let me tell you she changed the family and brought so much joy to every person that seen her. By just over a month old she was showing some personality with her tiny grins to grandpa, and her demands for must have extra warm bottles. P loved to show off her strength by pushing herself up on grandpas belly. at 2 months P was enjoying sitting in her jumper she had to tip toe touch but she was so very proud. At almost 3 months old P and her mommy went to spend 1 night at mommy's boyfriends and that's the night our world changed. P was violently attacked causing a TBI, multiple rib fractures, tons of retinal bleeds, facial bruising, and some other unlisted injuries. P was placed on life support and flown 5 hours away to fight for her life... with medical teams unable to slow seizures her brain continued to swell and an end of life meeting was held. Our family prepared arrangements for her passing. however, an online prayer request flew through the night, cell phones rang, family came running, and Ps army took shape as we held her with the vent thr very last time. we cried tears enough to fill oceans and that evening 4 days before she was to turn 3 months old surrounded by family the vent waa removes as P waa placed in her mamas arms. The room fell silent and grandpa gripped her hands as she began to breathe on her own. medical science couldnt explain this but we could... we appreciate the doctors and respect them greatly but our army prays to a God who performs miracles.... her story isnt over ..... we dont know if she can see, hear to understanding, or will walk or talk. but, she is here with purpose eiths Gods divine purpose and our mission is to be her voice and a voice for the voiceless!

Newest Update

Journal entry by Tammy Mills

Well I was planning a huge online surprise with photos videos and a huge store release as the 1 year anniversary of Ps injury fell upon us but .. I was first blocked on Facebook calling my videos and photos offensive... Then Instagram.  I wasn't even allowed to post a photo?!!!

Last week... Was one year.  Our lives changed in an instant we went from abuse could never happen to our family to our grandbaby fighting for her life.  We watched so many people lift her in prayer calling for her life to be spared.. we remember so vividly the night the tube was removed from holding her on a vent to watching her take breath after breath in her momma's arms.  P continues to defy all odds. Drs can't believe her progress and so many have joined her army of warriors. P sits up from laying, has many intentional pitches in her loud voice, loves to jump in her jumper, dances, eats all solids, and still loves Grandpa time the most.

We refuse to stop fighting for a cause we thought our family was passionate before about the care of abused children but what happened to P lit an eternal fire.  Advocating for P and the voiceless has become a mission we refuse to be silenced.  So no matter the reports or the insult we will march on.

This year for our anniversary week we want to create an ocean of pink to help bring awareness to Ps story and anyone struggling with an option to report or not. We are opening Ps store!!! Yes her own store with tons of hot pink 🩷 to spread her story far and wide in prayer that her story can impact so much more of the world... Spreading pink as a color of hope and a prayer for justice.  If you don't want to wear pink we have options for cups, magnets, and keychains.... If you can't buy pink... We ask for continued prayers and sharing of her story and our mission!!! All profits will be donated to 3 amazing organizations that share our mission...

Since I can't release her store on social media I will release it here!!! Copy, paste, and share her caringbridge and store.  Remember her army won't stop until justice is served and child abuse ends!!!!
