Update: I’m listening to Ella Fitzgerald singing “It’s a Lovely Day “ and it IS a lovely day! The temp is 81*, the sun is shining and I’m fixing my window baskets for planting! 👩🏼‍🌾
Last Friday I had my doctor appointment and had updated X-rays on my back. I’ve been wearing the back brace for 3 months. The X-rays compared to 6 weeks ago don’t show much improvement, but it’s no worse! 🤷‍♀️ The Dr says how it’s healed is about what I get. Wear the brace as needed! When it feels fatigued, put the brace on, and I do! Especially since I’ve been planting and gardening, I rest when I need to!
I’ve had a cough for a couple weeks and asked that as long as I was having X-rays, could we take some of my lungs. It showed inflammation of my right lung. Not a big concern now that I’ll wear my brace less, I will get some deeper breaths. If necessary, she’ll prescribe a 3 day course of steroids or an inhaler.  Being able to be more active means I can return to church activities, such as BELL CHOIR! I’m so happy to hear that they are continuing through the summer this year. Like the kids during the summer break, I tend to lose technique and it takes me longer in the fall to recover.
One more thing to celebrate, my A1C!
Last time we checked it had risen to 7.0.  The doctor is confident that now that I can be more active, I’ll get it back to down in the 6’s. 🤗
We’re looking forward to celebrating our grandson Oliver’s confirmation this weekend. Last night we attended our grandson Trent’s band concert and are proud of him receiving the conductor award. Of all the band members, he was one of four to receive it. Next week Oliver has his orchestra concert 🎶 and Emmett is the following week with the end of the school year Arts Showcase! We are so blessed to be able to attend these milestones in our grandsons lives.

Thank you for your continued support and prayers. I am truly blessed. In fact, I’m working on my piano playing and a song 🎶 called Blessings by Laura Story.

Isaiah 38:16-17: “Lord, by such things people live; and my spirit finds life in them too. You restored me to health and let me live. Surely it was for my benefit that I suffered such anguish. In Your love You kept me from the pit of destruction; You have put all my sins behind your back.

Please continue to add our friends Jimmy (pancreatic cancer) Rose (breast cancer) and Deb (brain tumor) in prayers. As my friend Alexa reminded me, a list that just keeps growing. . .
Blessings to All!
I see the oncologist next week and am confident that all will be well! I’ll keep you updated. 👋🏻
