Phil was admitted to the hospital on Monday, February 15, 2021 in acute physical distress due to an undiagnosed condition called achalasia. He had lost over 1/3 of his body weight in a short period of time, and this caused his internal organs a great deal of stress. He fought the good fight, but he couldn't overcome both the physical recover and the broken medical system, and Phil passed away on August 17, 2021. Please read through all the journal entries to get a glimpse into the battle we all fought for him.
