Sorry it's been so long, but things were delayed for a bit. So here is an update.
Last Thursday and Friday Philip had a bunch of tests run. He also had a bone marrow biopsy, which finally led to an official diagnosis. According to the doctor, the lymphoma he has started out as slow growing, and then transformed into a more aggressive type of lymphoma, which he would be treating.
Wednesday, Philip was admitted into the hospital so they could begin his treatment. He was also scheduled for an MRI and spinal tap, to determine whether the cancer was in his central nervous system or not. The MRI came back clear. We are still waiting on the results of the spinal tap.
So last night they gave him a steroid, and today he started chemotherapy. We are also still waiting for another test result which will determine if he has a mutation. If he does, the treatment will remain the same, but be administered in a different way.
Philip remains optimistic about all of this, and would like to thank everyone for their prayers and support. We'll keep you posted as we learn more. God bless!
