Two years ago - A memory popped up on my Facebook page so I thought I would post an update on here.  Two years ago on this date Peyton got his super cells 2.0 I Philadelphia. It's crazy to think it's been two years since we packed up everything and moved out to Philly for a while. So much has changed in those two year.  That little bald headed scared 4 year old had turned into a very confident and happy 6 year old.  He's got very thick hair so thick his haircut people comment everytime how thick it is.

Treatment wise things have been good.  We go in once a month for his IVIG treatment and they check his blood to make sure nothing looks out of the ordinary.  I did speak with the doctors in Philadelphia a couple weeks ago about the study Peyton is in.  They said in kids similar to Peyton 75 percent of them made it a year with no relapse and 60 percent made it two years so far.  They actually consider his date to be January though since we did reinfuse.  So he's at least in the over a year category which is good news.  We'll keep doing the same thing hopefully for a long time

So much has happened since our last update.  Peytons make a wish trip finally happened after years of delay due to Covid and we were able to take him to Disney in Florida.  He had a very special trip and we can't thank Make a Wish and Give kids the world village enough.  This past weekend Peyton had his 6th birthday party.  Even though mom and dad said they were going to tone it down this year we didn't and got him a huge bouncy house for the backyard and had all his friends and family over.  It's just so hard not to make a big deal out of every birthday he has.

Next up for Peyton will be kindergarten in the fall!  He's very excited for it as he already has a couple friends who go there.  He's grown so much this year from a learning perspective.  He can count to 200, knows all his letters and sounds they make.  He had conferences yesterday and the teachers raved about him. He really is a very good kid.  Even coaching for little league he's the kid the listens the best and is very respectful. We couldn't be more happy with him. I hope everyone who follows this family is doing great and you all enjoy summer.  Hopefully it will be a while again until I post something on here !
