Journal entry by Brian Carlson —
Dear Friends and Family. Today a little bit before 3pm central time, Pete Rothers took his last few breaths of life and was released from his earthly bonds. Pete was in complete palliative care during his passing, so he left peacefully. Mary Ann is doing as well as can be expected during this time. Thanks to the directives set out by Pete prior to his passing, this process went as easily as we could hope. Pete's directives calls for cremation of his body. Also Pete didn't want a formal funeral to be held. Instead, his wishes were that a celebration of life memorial event take place after his death. More details on this event will follow in the days ahead. I hope each and every one of you who had the chance to meet Pete even once, feels blessed to have met such a wonderful person. Even though Pete is gone, I can guarantee the ripples he made while on this earth made a difference in many lives. Hold onto those memories, share them with your loved ones. Honor Pete and find your individual peace in the days ahead. With love and appreciation. The Rothers and Carlson families.
