Pete’s Story

Site created on April 15, 2021

Most everyone visiting here knows Pete personally so we will just touch on the highlights of his background and then keep you posted on his recovery
efforts.  Pete is a devout husband to Kathy (50 years) and is the Father of 4 AMAZING kids who have given him 13 Grandchildren all of whom are imploring him to "Jump for Joy." Much like his lifelong marriage, he has had only 1 career since graduation from Marquette University in 1971 and that has been with his 2nd love, OHM International Corporation where he has been the President/CEO since 1983.  During his 50 year career to date, he has had the privilege of visiting 63 countries the world over.  But he will tell you, far more important than the many professional successes he's achieved, is his deep and profound personal relationships with Jesus Christ and his Immaculate Mother Mary.  He credits the roots of his faith to a pilgrimage trip taken to Medjugorje, Yugoslavia in the late 1980's and since that time, has been a daily communicant with strong (daily) devotions to the rosary and Eucharistic Adoration.  He starts his days at 4:30am in the Word of God and if you ask him out to lunch or dinner on Wednesday or Friday he'll politely decline (without ever letting you know that he is fasting for the benefit of the Kingdom).  Furthering his service to the Lord, in 2009, he joined the Order of Malta whose primary charism is attending to the poor and infirm.   He became a Knight of Obedience in the Order in 2014.  With Malta, he has taken many missionary trips to the Marian Shrine in Lourdes France.  He is a gentle, unassuming man who would rather listen to you all day long then utter a word of his own.  In a world that has gone "Business Casual" he still dons a full suit and tie everyday and hands out smiles from sun up to sun down.   Bottom line, he is a peacemaker who has 'done it right' and his life song sings as a testimony to such devotion.  Now, that he has fallen ill, he needs us to stand in the gap for him with prayers for healing & recovery.  Will you join us as we storm heaven's gate asking for exactly that?   A thousand "Thank You's" in advance for doing so!
