It’s been a while since we have updated you all on Pete’s health.  It is surprising that time goes by so quickly and 3  (almost 4) years have passed since Pete was diagnosed with Stage IV lung cancer.  

We have so much to be thankful for.  First, that God has allowed Pete to remain with us for 3 more years (and still counting!) 😊 Secondly, the medication that Pete is on is still working to keep the cancer from spreading through his body and has worked so well that many of the cancer spots no longer show up on his scans. Basically only has the large tumor in his right lung. This is a tremendous praise for us because this medication is lasting much longer than it was expected. So, needless to say he will continue on with these meds.   He has been getting scans every three months since 2019 and his final scan for 2022 was last week.   In the new year, scans will be taken every 4 months.   Pete was also receiving an infusion every  month to strengthen his bones, the doctor said that he will discontinue receiving these infusions in the next year since he has responded well to the medication.   

We love sharing good news and we are so grateful for friends, family, and our church family who check up on us throughout our journey.   Of course, no one asks for this kind of trial in their life, and no one would wish it on anyone.   There are times we struggle, times that we worry,  times we cry out to God for answers and times we cry out in PRAISE  for all he has done.  God stays the same through it all and God is good all the time.

We believe that God will not give us anything that HE can’t handle.  HE will not leave us alone through this and HE has the resources to supply ALL that we need.  HE knows it all and sees it all, and HE has a plan.  Our prayer is that we continue to trust HIM in all things.    Thank you for your prayers and support.  We appreciate each one of you.
