Journal entry by Nicolle Peltier

On February 1st Killian  had open heart surgery to close up 3 holes in his heart we didn't know about the 3rd one until right before he was going in for repair on his VSD and PDA, we were signing the paperwork and it read "Repair of ASD/VSD/PDA"....  Killian still struggles with holding food Down if it touches his stomach he arches IMMEDIATELY in pain and discomfort. Kyle and I are hoping that there will be an answer to his extreme arching. Killians heart repair went well he came through heart surgery amazingly but the recovery was a little bumpy with high blood pressure so they monitored him to make sure his blood pressure wouldn't get to high, Because if it would have gotten too high the patches that were just placed by the cardiosurgeon would have ruptured in his little chest. Killian is still in the hospital with a diagnosis of failure to thrive he now weighs 9.5 Lbs at 4 months of age, a 4 month old is usually weighing about 14.5Lbs to 20Lbs but we are confident in God's Grace that Killian will be able to be comfortable eating one day whether it be with a doctors help or just by the miracles God has to offer. We are planning on bring home Killian this Friday unless there is another curve ball thrown at us ♡♡♡  Remember guys if it never rained we would never see rainbows and flowers ♡♡♡

We're all hanging in there,
-The Peltier Family
