Quick update: Paul had his every 4 month scans today and they were still ALL CLEAR! No Evidence of Disease (NED). We are so grateful of this good news because we know others that are not receiving this good news. Before we started this journey, Charlotte Marie and I decided that no matter what the outcome is, we would not put God on trial. We would continue to have faith in Him no matter what. We give all the glory to Paul's NED status to Jesus Christ.

I appreciated everyone's prayers because a couple of weeks ago I had a vivid nightmare of seeing on Paul's scans the lung nodules and the doctors telling us that the cancer has come back. That was not a restful night. I was definitely anxious this round of scans with that nightmare in the back of my mind. I pray every day that this cancer never comes back (that the 2 genes - EWS-FLI1 don't translocate and fuse together) and that he his 90 years old telling his kids and grandkids about his journey.

I am so glad that I believe and follow someone that showed such compassion when He lived on earth. Our church at Kairos has started sending out text messages during Lent to prompt us to read the Bible and think about different questions. Today was serendipitous/providential in that we were prompted to read Luke 7.

”When Jesus had finished saying all this to the people who were listening, he entered Capernaum. There a centurion’s servant, whom his master valued highly, was sick and about to die. The centurion heard of Jesus and sent some elders of the Jews to him, asking him to come and heal his servant. When they came to Jesus, they pleaded earnestly with him, “This man deserves to have you do this, because he loves our nation and has built our synagogue.” So Jesus went with them. He was not far from the house when the centurion sent friends to say to him: “Lord, don’t trouble yourself, for I do not deserve to have you come under my roof. That is why I did not even consider myself worthy to come to you. But say the word, and my servant will be healed. For I myself am a man under authority, with soldiers under me. I tell this one, ‘Go,’ and he goes; and that one, ‘Come,’ and he comes. I say to my servant, ‘Do this,’ and he does it.” When Jesus heard this, he was amazed at him, and turning to the crowd following him, he said, “I tell you, I have not found such great faith even in Israel.” Then the men who had been sent returned to the house and found the servant well.“
‭‭Luke‬ ‭7‬:‭1‬-‭10‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Jesus shows such compassion all the time. We will continue to be faithful and follow Jesus, not only so that Paul will remain NED, but because we believe in this man that came to earth and died for our sins.

Thank you for all of your prayers and continued notes! We love our PaulUnited community.
