Paul finished chemo on Tuesday, May 21st.  His port was taken out on May 28th.  What at times seemed like a never-ending chemo journey has been in the rear-view mirror now for almost 3 weeks! 

The week of June 18 we will meet with the surgeon for his 6 month checkup and with his oncologist to find out what comes next.  We know there will be checkups every 3-4 months for the next couple of years and the hormone blocking medication for 5+ years.  Not exactly sure what will all happen at the checkups, and there is some question about what kind of hormone blocker Paul will take due to a genetic blood clot mutation he has.  Whatever the future holds we are hopeful for a VERY long cancer free journey ahead!
