Journal entry by Kathy Cote —
That’s it for our posts. Paul finishes therapy at Shepherd Pathways this Friday. If you’re looking for a cause to support consider The shepherd Center and Shepherd Pathways. They literally give hope to so many families facing insurmountable odds and their therapists are amazing.
I’d like to thank all of you who prayed for us, brought food, sent cards, dropped off meals. All of it helped us get through one of the most difficult challenges we have ever faced. I’d like to thank my children who stepped up in so many ways and literally carried me through while dealing with their own fears and emotions. The one thing I learned through all of it is that God is everywhere. He’s in the person who stops to help a stranger, He’s in first responders and doctors and nurses who sacrifice time away from their families to help others. He’s in the person who drops off food at a hospital icu waiting room without being acknowledged, He’s in the people who took time to visit, old friends from high school, friends and neighbors and people we’ve had the privilege to get to know through BT and our church, and He’s in the coach who takes time to visit one of his former players. We were absolutely SURROUNDED by people who showed us God’s love. And I can sincerely say we wouldn’t have gotten through this without it
So hug your family! Every day is a gift, live it and be grateful. We are grateful for all of you❤️❤️❤️
