Journal entry by Pam Cope

On Tuesday we met with our nurse practitioner to review Paul’s most recent CT scan. We are happy to report that all the tumors have shrunk significantly and no more chemo is required. For the foreseeable future Paul will receive immunotherapy infusions. The oncologist believes this will keep the cancer in remission. They don’t know how long this treatment will work, but for most cancer patients it is measured in years. Paul is working now to regain his strength after the chemo treatments. He still gets tired easily but is eager to get back to his beloved boat, already making plans to get out on the water. Feel free to call and make plans to come visit.
We love you all so much and can’t tell you how much we appreciate your support and prayers. We promise to keep you posted on how Paul’s recovery is going.
Meanwhile I am busy with my litter of three puppies that were born July 18th, and plans for upcoming dog shows. We both feel like a heavy load has been lifted off our shoulders and we are ready to get on with our lives.
With love, Pam and Paul
