On July 9 we got the news that we had been waiting for…. The results from the most recent PET Scan. Dad was initially scheduled to have PET scans every 3 months, but because he had been reacting so well to the experimental drug he is on they made it every 4 months. A scary diagnosis of metastasized cancer a year and a half ago, 2 surgeries, traveling back and forth from the hospital, and lots of scans and treatments later …and guess what?
MY DAD IS IN REMISSION!
The doctor called and said the remaining tumors have shrunk and are tiny and the cancer is effectively inactive. INACTIVE! If there were a bell, he’d be ringing it!
We want to thank everyone who has said prayers for us during this hard time. Your love and support has meant the world to us. While the fight may not be totally over, Dad definitely won. And so have we. We cannot be more thankful and feel blessed by Him and His healing powers along with the knowledgeable and compassionate team guiding us from Northwestern.
Thanks again & let’s say it one more time: REMISSION!!!!
