Paula’s Story

This page is for the family and friends of Paula Rouse - a caring friend and the most caring hairstylist ever - so they can keep up with Paula’s progress. Paula underwent major surgery November 1 to remove a tumor. We were happy to learn that the pathologists found no evidence of cancer. Paula returned home for a brief period, but returned to the hospital because of complications from the complex surgery. During the present hospital stay she had an additional a major complication that resulted in her losing consciousness on November 29. While in this state, she is resting and healing. We have seen gentle signs of improvement. We will provide periodic updates on this page, and we invite you to share your words about Paula if you wish.

At the time of this posting, Paula is in an intensive care unit, remains unconscious, and therefore is not accepting visitors, but thoughts and prayers and kind words are most welcome.

Open House for Paula Rouse: Gramer Funeral Home on Saturday, March 30th from 10 AM to 6 PM - Service at 4:00 PM

We look forward to seeing those who can make it for the open house at Gramer Funeral home on Saturday, March 30th. The family will be there for the day and you are welcome to stop by when you can for as long as you can. For those of you who would prefer to participate in a service, we also set up a formal time to grieve, pray and celebrate Paula. The formal service will take place at 4:00 PM.
