Good afternoon day 111,

We met with the main BMT MD today to go over the results and discuss moving forward.  The PET scan shows no lymphoma and she congratulated Paula on her remission!!!  Yes, Praise God!!!

What a journey it has been so far.  She said they will be watching her bone marrow closely as it is struggling to catch up and recover.  She feels the Sirolimus (RX) immune suppressant is the main cause for the side effects Paula is dealing with along with her numbers not recovering.  The tapper has begun so this journey has started.  She said Paula's recovery will be long and slow.  No jumping into the lake or playing in the dirt for a long time ... LOL.     She reminded us this will be a long and slow recovery more than once.  The BMT has spoken of around two years for full recovers.  Paula is still receiving growth factor occasionally and platelets twice weekly.  Paula's medications are changing a lot and they are hoping to start her on a new prescription pending insurance approval.

The last time the "pending" insurance cost us a delay in her treatment and around $3600.00 out of pocket.  Us paying the out of pocket screwed up the out of pocket totals for over four months.  The U of M and HealthPartners finally got it all squared away.

Paula continues to move forward.  I give thanks daily for so much that He has done for me and allowed to be done for me.  I felt I understood gratitude in the past, my understanding is at an entirely different level now.  Thank you Jesus!!!  Serving Paula, John

Another side bar, I wrecked back end of October and have been dealing with a lot of pain and discomfort for months.  About 2 1/2 3 months ago I really did it up good.  I put everything off so I could deal with Paula's schedule.  I finally got to go in.  They have recommended back surgery.  I will be trying an injection first to try and put off the surgery as long as I can.  Paula is first!
