Journal entry by Vince King —
From our brother Tim, 12/4/2022:
"Hello family and friends. John, Ruth, Colin, Christina, Thomas, Jan and I had a pleasant time returning Patrick to the Earth this afternoon. Thanks to Darleen Jan was able to read Patrick’s favorite prayer to St. Francis. Christina decided what we were doing was a Returning. Thomas remembered Patrick liked to tickle him. Ruth remembered what a good uncle Patrick was to her sons. John took a photo of all of us. Colin remembered time he spent with Patrick while Colin was in school in Santa Fe. We all listened to swans in the river valley and watched a mink run through the woods. John shared cookies, which he called communion, and Jan remembered Patrick’s sense of humor. Christina spoke of Patrick’s kindness. We stood in a circle of ashes poured by John and suggested by Karen." From Tim earlier: Patrick's ashes will be placed in "a circle in a forested clearing overlooking a valley on the north and our field on the east. There are resident grey squirrels and racoons there and an animal trail frequented by deer, coyotes, and an occasional bobcat who passes nearby so Patrick will have company."
