I just read the Medicare statement for Pat’s surgery and stay in the hospital. This also includes the cost for Mary’s surgeries and treatments.. All of this is covered by Medicare. The total hospital billing was $338,000. This is just Part A until January 27th. With its discount, Medicare paid $95,000. We pay nothing.
Adding this to my last post, the billing for our medical expenses in dealing with these 2 illnesses is over $1.5 million.
Both medical treatments have saved our lives.
I suddenly feel a lot better about the quarterly self employment taxes I paid as clergy over the past 40 years.
