Today was the first follow up post surgery. It's been 7 weeks ago today since my surgery!
The doctor was very happy with my progress. She said my strength seems good. I can now lift 15 lbs and can bend to a 45 degree angle. That's huge...that means I can potentially put on socks! I can also go into a swimming pool, but cannot swim Oh well, end of the summer is fine. I can use the cane over the walker now. I can reduce the use of the brace. She was very happy. I got to see the x-ray, very cool, but scary. I have 4 screws about 3 inches each holding the rods in place. All is healing well.
I know my progress has been enhanced by the tremendous support I have received from all of you. Woohoo!!!
