Actually a dresser but I couldn’t resist the urge for a dirty dancing quote 🤣

I’ve been cleaning out and organizing Masons room and we are getting rid of one of his dressers. I helped Adam carry the dresser to the garage from Masons room on the second floor 💪🏻 “STRONG LIKE BULL” I hollered when we got to the garage. It felt so amazing to do something like that. Last July I was healing but still so very weak.

Since my last update in April I’ve been a busy 🐝. I took a couple work trips to NYC to meet with customers and work a convention. I had my first speaking engagement since getting sick, one virtual and one at the convention and it felt amazing.

Mom, Dad and I took a trip to Atlanta and we saw Logan graduate. Time flies, I can’t believe my nephew is off to college! I took a trip to San Diego for work and wow it sure is gorgeous there, that will NOT be my last!

Parker wrapped up soccer, #1 team in his division and started baseball. He is playing in a summer league and is absolutely loving it and we are enjoying watching him. He’s so athletic he picks up every new sport with ease. Mason is the mayor, per the usual, strolling around the baseball fields talking to people and spending all his money at the snack shack.

We are in full summer mode over here. I have the boys in a couple camps but for the most part they will roam the neighborhood all summer and I would have it no other way. It’s the way summer should be and I love it. We are so blessed to have this amazing “Colonial Crew” community of families that look out for each other as well as Debbie to help while we are working.

We are in pool party season! Even though this is our third summer here, due to COVID and cancer we really haven’t been able to open up our home to our friends and family and boy we are making up for it this year 😴 I’m so relieved that I have the stamina for it, another thing I am so very thankful for.

We just wrapped up the 4th of July, you guessed it we had a pool party 😄 we enjoyed the parade at the top of the street (so convenient) as well as my sister and her family for a couple days.

My sister in law and her family are coming next week and we are so excited to see them. You guessed it, we will probably have a pool party!

Adam started a new job last month and is off to Ireland this week for work. It’s been a very interesting role reversal for us. I am now the steady, at home taking care of the kids and getting them to all of their events while Adam settles into his new job. I am so proud of him and happy that I can step into the role he so selflessly did for me for so many years while I grew my career.

Lastly, I had a check up Friday and everything looked great! I don’t have to go back until September when I’ll also get my last round of baby shots.

It will be a busy week for us with Adam away, wish me luck!

In order to heal, you must feel”
