Just want to update how Reid is doing.

He is completing his sixth week of cardiac rehab. He will continue rehab through the month of August. He is now allowed to do upper body exercises. We are very grateful for the rehab nurses at McLaren  Cheboygan campus. Phyllis and Rebecca are the cardiac nurses. They have been excellent. Every time he goes for rehab he is monitored for heart rate and oxygen level and blood pressure and EKG throughout his appointment. The motto is that your body will tell you what to do and what not to do. Reid is quite active. Doesn't rest a whole lot during the day but sleep comes much easier at night.

He has been going to the office every day for a while now. He is also back to visiting with people in the office and in their homes. Last week was VBS. He always enjoys that and had several helpers to make it a successful week. We were able to be part of the international workers dinner in mid July. A great group of people came. Made some tweaks on how the dinner was put together. Several church members helped with that event.

Matt Quick and the deacons have done a great job filling in for the services in June and July. We could not have done this recovery without their help. Reid is preparing for his first time back in the pulpit preaching on August 1st during the morning service.

We are especially grateful for our friends in the town of Mackinaw City who regularly ask how Reid is doing. Everyone has been very encouraging to us. We are thankful too for phone calls and prayers and cards that have come. So encouraging to know others are praying for you. We know that the Lord has enabled this to be a good recovery so far. "Bless the Lord, O my soul, and all that is within me bless His holy name. Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits" (Psalm 103:1,2).

With grateful hearts,

Reid and Robin
