Journal entry by Cheryl McCart

The Dr’s and nurses continue to be impressed with how well Parker is handling the treatments. They have warned that at this stage of treatment there may be times we have to wait an extra week for his body to recover. Fortunately his little body works hard and has come back able to keep his treatment schedule on track.
If he continues as scheduled his last chemotherapy session will begin on Dec 30th.   Then January he will receive radiation.
Parker is looking forward to November 18th when he meets his prosthetists and starts the making of his robot leg.
Parker is enjoying his costume for Halloween daily, I think he is taking this super hero thing very seriously!  He has been Iron man every day since he got it!  We will be having a fun night of candy, scary movies and activities with his cousin Carson. Carson has been spending lots of time with us keeping Parker laughing and his spirits up!
We have been very fortunate that Parkers nausea has been very minimal and he has been healing well and moving around everywhere.
We had one quick visit to the ER when his potassium was low and he had some severe cramps happening. They treated him with morphine and potassium and sent us on our way. Parker was happy he didn’t need to stay as it is one less covid test he needed!  He HATES covid tests! (I can’t blame him)
We celebrated Thanksgiving and Allys birthday this month and are looking forward to celebrating Halloween and Tasha’s birthday in the coming weeks.
Hope everyone stays safe and healthy and enjoys Halloween in whatever way you choose. 😊
Sending lots of love and thanks for all the wonderful people we have on our side.
