Parker finished chemo and is finally home for good! He finished his 5th cycle on March 26th and tolerated the chemo fairly well. His kidneys were a little angry so he had to stay on fluids most of the cycle, and they put him on antibiotics after he got a low grade fever.  This was his longest cycle and it took over six weeks for his body to recover. The last two weeks he was feeling great and it was very hard to be patient knowing he gets to go home.

On one of his last days, he was selected to help host a trivia game with a few of the Vikings players and got to interview them. This was definitely one of the coolest things he has ever done and I don't think he has stopped smiling yet. We think Parker has a future in broadcasting:)

One of his nurses wrote, " You have taught all of us many lessons on bravery, patience, and kindness". I am amazed by Parker and his strength and positivity and I know he has learned many lessons about life in the last six months. We all have.

Parker will get his final biopsy tomorrow and will have his central line removed. The doctors are expecting the results to come back clear again. Waiting for the results is still nerve-racking, but we are so hopeful this is the end of this part of his journey. He will have monthly blood tests, and they will also test his heart, kidneys, and liver to make sure he doesn't have any long-term side effects from the chemo. After that, he will go in every few months for five years.

We will miss his team, especially the nurses we go to know so well, and will be forever grateful for their care and kindness. We are also so thankful for our family's support. We really couldn't have gotten through this without them.
