Pam’s Story

Site created on May 18, 2021

At the end of December 2020, Pam was admitted to the hospital after a fall.  During that visit she was diagnosed with Liver Disease.   Over the past few months she has been working with a Liver specialist at the University of Minnesota to see if her liver function could improve.  Unfortunately her condition has continued to decline.   She is currently at home receiving hospice care and is enjoying spending time with family.

Please feel free to reach out to Pam.  She loves to reminisce about old times and would enjoy sharing a laugh with you!  You can leave messages on this page, or contact her through Facebook or her cell phone.   We will update this page as needed.

We miss her already.

Pam took her final breaths yesterday, June 23 at 3:10pm.  It all worked out so perfectly.  The hospice aid who had been working with mom the past month came and got her all clean and smelling beautiful.  She made the bed perfectly, just as mom liked.  Another hospice worker visited mom, shared scripture and prayed over her just a short time before she left us.  Dad stayed by her side the whole day and was holding her hand until the end.....I didn't know you could miss someone immediately.  Although I am so grateful for the time I had with her, I keep thinking, "wait, stop, let's just rewind a little, just walk back in the door and she will be there, I have some things I want to do differently."  While we are heartbroken from her absence, we are so thankful that her suffering is over.  She endured so much, it didn't seem fair.  She is now happy, healthy and whole in Heaven.  We will miss her forever.

There will be a memorial service in Richland Center, WI and a burial service in Henning, MN at a later date.  More information to follow.  Thank you for your caring thoughts and prayers.
