Journal

Evening all!!!

I just want to close the loop on this journey so far.

Mom is home!!! She made it home last night. It was long drive from Denver. She is glad to be home in her own environment and around her pets.

Celebrate she is home

Her numbers all are looking good

Big things moving forward. Her ANC is up which means her body is able to fight but she is still at extreme risk for infections and illnesses.
With the stem cell transplant it has wiped out all vaccines/immunizations she has ever received. She is like a brand new baby without protection of moms breast milk.
We are please asking if you are feeling ill please don't come visit. We want to keep mom healthy
If you do come visit please be very diligent in hand washing or using hand sanitizer.

They did say that for the next couple months mom will still be experiencing a lot of up and downs days.  Where she will be extremely tired and wiped to on top of the world.
With this her body and energy is all over the place.

Please be patient with her. She may not be up for a visit in person or sit on the phone or even respond to texts. These bad days it takes a lot for her to even get up and eat and walk let alone talk.
She has said she is sorry for coming off rude.

She has appreciated all the love you are giving her and was looking forward to getting home to her friends and family.

Please feel free to reach out to me on those days for updates and even continue to send love by texts to her she will see them.

Please continue to pray for her to continue to heal and recover. Here in a few months (day 90 from transplant) they will do another bone marrow biopsy to see status of the transplant. This will determine longer term treatment going forward.

This will be my last post until the bone marrow biopsy.

Thank you all for the support and love through this our family has really appreciated everything you have done for her.
