Journal entry by Pam Roach

Wow #9 is IN THE BOOKS!!!

Hurray! Chemo is definitely cumulative - at least for me. A few more aches from Friday through Monday morning and not all food agrees with me. Part of the journey - at least for my system. lol - remember: it could be worse !

Lab numbers were good! Yea!🎉
With a port, in my chest below the skin, it needs to be flushed before each pre-meds, chemo, etc. Today it didn’t want to ‘play’ fair!! No pain- just when the Saline - sterile- was being injected you should get blood. Nope - so I laid flat , then raised my arms, turned my head as far as I could and BAM🎉🎉🎉- it worked. It happens. I just wanted to be real about this journey. Remember : no pain. 🎉

I asked that since my pre-meds are called a cocktail why don’t I get a charcuterie board with it! They LIKED my idea but nothing appeared !🤣🤣

The Benadryl nap appeared FAST ( it was pushed quicker than usual ). Boy did I sleep. They only woke me TWICE to ask my name and birthday !!! Maybe it’s time for presents - 🤣🤣🤣

We get to see two of our granddaughters tonight. They are driving to see us and I’m SO excited.
💛💛

Sunshine, so many prayers, blessings, love. I’m VERY, VERY grateful ! Thank you all💛

Ps- remember : May is Melanoma and Skin Cancer awareness month. Wear sunscreen and RE-APPLY!- year round!
