Today has been a good day for Veronika!
We went to the Surgeon's office and she had the staples removed (lots of staples...). She said she was feeling immediately better having them out, like a brand new girl!!
She continues the speech therapy and the doctor today expressed encouragement that considering her improvements to date she thinks Veronika stands a very good chance for a full recovery.
Currently about 6w out from returning to work (but the doc was quite sure she will be able to return). No driving till she's done with the Keppra medication (but that driving is definitely coming back). She thinks the speech/recognition is also highly likely to return completely (or near completely) within the next 6 weeks!
She's on a really good track and her determination to get it all back is showing!

¡Hoy ha sido un buen día para Veronika!
Fuimos a la oficina del cirujano y le quitaron las grapas (muchas grapas ...). Ella dijo que se sentía inmediatamente mejor al sacarlos, ¡como una chica nueva!
Continúa con la terapia del habla y el médico de hoy expresó su aliento al considerar que, teniendo en cuenta sus mejoras hasta la fecha, cree que Veronika es una muy buena oportunidad para una recuperación completa.
Actualmente, aproximadamente 6 semanas después de regresar al trabajo (pero el doctor estaba bastante seguro de que podrá regresar). No conduzca hasta que haya terminado con el medicamento Keppra (pero esa conducción definitivamente regresará). ¡Ella piensa que es muy probable que el discurso / reconocimiento regrese completamente (o casi completamente) en las próximas 6 semanas!
¡Está en un buen camino y su determinación de recuperarlo todo se está mostrando!
