Hello everyone. First and foremost, I want to say thank you. Losing Cade is one of the hardest things we have had to endure in our lives. It was even harder to go through it during the isolation of this pandemic. The amount of cards, the thoughtful gifts, messages, care packages left at the front door, beautiful flowers, everything. It all meant the world to us. It was unreal the amount of pure love, compassion, and support that was given to us by friends as well as strangers who only knew us from these updates. I will never be able to thank everyone enough, but please know how much it meant to us in our hearts. All of it warmed my soul and spirit so much. Thank you!

I wanted to send a quick update to inform everyone of Cade’s celebration of life party that we are going to have. We have been patiently waiting to honor the life of our beautiful son Cade who has been gone since April 29, 2020. We were not able to have traditional wake and funeral services due to COVID at the time of his death, which was heartbreaking. Hard to believe it’s the middle of July already. Chris and I have been thinking about it a lot since we lost Cade- what we would do, when we would be able to do it, how we want to honor him, etc.

Well Cade has a birthday coming up. He would be turning 5 years old on August 7. We felt what better time to celebrate his life than to celebrate over his birthday weekend, and what better place than in our neighborhood park where he grew up. Where he rode bikes or his gator up to the park and played on the playground. Ran through the soccer fields and shot off rockets. Circled the baseball diamond pretending to run a home run. The place where he had picnics, picked books out of the book house to read, and where he probably pee’d on at least one of the trees when the bathrooms were locked 😉

It is here, at Hiller Park in Johnsburg, IL that we are going to honor our super hero with a day full of outdoor fun on Saturday, August 8 from 12-4pm.

Whether you want to briefly stop by and pay your respects, or stay a while and play, please join us in celebrating our sweet boy. We will have snacks and refreshments and we plan to send him all of our love with a big balloon release towards the end. We would be honored to have you there with us. ❤️
