Journal entry by Sarah Cassidy —
Today is Oliver’s original due date! :)
They lowered his ventilator again last night/early this morning and he’s been doing extremely well. Their plan is to extubate later today! YaY! Mama will finally be able to hold him! We will find out in an hour or two if today is the day, they did an ultra sound to just check everything first before making final decision! They’ll also continue his lasix drip which is helping him pee more fluid out since he’s still a little puffy
sadly they decided against the tube removal again today. They put him back on the ventilator so he wouldn’t get to tired.
They said we’ll try the test again in the morning and see where he goes.
