"For now we see through a glass darkly but then face to face..." 1 Corinthians 12:13
This cute picture is Mom looking out her living room window and perfectly illustrates the scripture above. She lived on this side of the glass with such joy and sweetness. It gives us peace to imagine her sweet and joyful life on the other side.
The triplets were squealers - about an Alabama touchdown, a Wii bowling strike or a fish on a line. I imagined there were happy squeals in heaven when she made her entrance. Thinking of her with Daddy again brings me to happy tears. And Mama Hendon with her triplets together again. And the brothers, each one assigned to a triplet in a buddy system, Uncle Ray has his triplet now.
Mostly, I imagine her meeting Jesus and being told "well done". She loved Jesus. She talked to him day and night. He sees her as she sees him - face to face. Perfected.
As Mom's body failed her the macular degeneration made her see all telephone poles as crooked. Her failing hearing made music sound out of key and she stopped singing along. She is now in the heavenly choir where everyone sings on key and all the poles are straight.
We are happy for her.
