Journal

After 67 days in the NICU, Oaklynn is home!! We came home on on Tuesday and have been enjoying being together as a family of 4. Brantley was excited to finally meet his little sister! He is an amazing big brother and loves being a helper! Oaklynn has been thriving since being home. We are so very blessed. 💕

A few pictures since being home. Oaklynn is slowly meeting family that has been waiting patiently to meet her! ❤️

We will have a busy next few weeks/summer with follow up ROP appointments (eyes) and an MRI of her brain. We also put a referral in for Oaklynn to start receiving early intervention at home. She was seen 1 x a week by both speech (helped Oaklynn learn how to eat) and OT (made sure her head wasn’t getting flat, gave us tools to aid in development  and did exercises with Oaklynn)

We have felt an overwhelming amount of love and support throughout this journey. We hope you all know how very thankful we are. We appreciate each and every prayer, message with encouragement and kind words, donations and gift baskets!

A list of things Oaklynn and I have overcome is the last 67 days:
