Newest Update

Journal entry by Christina Carney

Hi,

I haven’t posted in a few days.  I will continue to post on the days we receive more info. Grandma Sandy reminded me to update about the bone marrow results which were negative, no signs of cancer thank goodness.  Other than that she is home and doing well. She has a 24 hour IV infusion going. Zak said this morning that they have her carry it in a purse around the house. They did not get much more liver related information at discharge because the doc was busy. They will see the liver team out patient on Friday and we hope to get clarity on the stage of fibrosis she is in and a timeline of progression. The kidney doc did tell us he did not expect her kidneys to be severely affected or need transplant until after 20 years of age but was inevitable with her condition.  Her liver is much more effected currently. So I hope to have more updates then.
