Journal entry by NancyDee MacFarland

Final post for the season that began 11/23/18. Thank you for your love, support and prayers.

A cold/flu lead to a ruptured ear drum, two rounds of antibiotics, lots of calls to Blue Cross/Blue Shield and an hour long trip to see an ENT with full testing capabilities. Like many cleft affected people Noah needs T-tubes to prevent infection and further damage to his inner ear. The surgery is scheduled for December

We are working with BCBS and an oral surgeon in Boca trying to get approval for the removal of impacted wisdom teeth. The doctor insists the procedure be done in the hospital for Noah. Once those are out and approval is given, the pre-surgery orthodontia can begin.

The appointment for the one scar from last year that has a large keloid and the follow up with the gastrointestinal doctor may have to be put off until the other issues are resolved. We’ve seen A LOT of doctors and therapists this year and are grateful for their care. God has been faithful. He has given us strength and peace through the struggles.

Our hearts are heavy struggling to balance how we miss Luc and all that has happened in the last year. Please pray for the Theberge’s. A one year memorial mass will be held at St. John’s in Quincy Sunday November 24th at 11:00am. Thank you for sharing this journey with us. May God richly bless you.
